The story

From the earth to your wrist, checked at every step

Every Salico piece starts as a natural material: a seed from a Himalayan tree, a dense heartwood, or a stone formed over millions of years. We source it, string it by hand in India, and send each batch to an accredited lab before it reaches you.

What's in your piece

The facts first, then the tradition. Sources are listed at the end of this page.

Rose quartz

What it is
Rose quartz is pink, cloudy quartz (SiO₂). The colour comes from microscopic pink fibres similar to the mineral dumortierite. Mohs hardness is 7.
Where it comes from
It is mined mainly in Brazil, South Africa, India and Madagascar.
In tradition
In modern crystal lore it is traditionally associated with love, compassion and emotional healing.

Lapis lazuli

What it is
Lapis lazuli is a blue metamorphic rock, not a single mineral. It is made mainly of lazurite (the blue part), with calcite (white veins) and pyrite (gold flecks). Mohs hardness is about 5–5.5.
Where it comes from
Most comes from Badakhshan in Afghanistan, which has been mined for thousands of years; Chile and Russia also produce it.
In tradition
It was treasured in ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt, and was ground into ultramarine pigment for Renaissance painting. It is traditionally associated with wisdom and truth.
Straight talk

Does it work? Our honest answer

We would rather you trust us than be sold a miracle. Here is what tradition says, what research says, and what we can actually promise.

ॐWhat tradition holds

These materials carry centuries of meaning in Indian and wider traditions. We share those associations because they are why many people choose to wear them, and we label them as tradition, not as tested results.

?What science can say

  • Rose quartz. A 2025 randomised controlled trial using rose quartz found that anxiety fell only among people who believed in crystals, and fell just as much with a placebo stone as with real rose quartz.
  • Lapis lazuli. No clinical evidence shows that wearing lapis lazuli has physical or psychological effects.
  • Across studies, reported crystal effects match placebo: in a 2001 study people felt the same with fake crystals as real ones, and a 2025 randomised trial found rose quartz eased anxiety no more than a placebo stone.

✓What we guarantee

  • Real material. The seed, wood or stone named on the label, not resin or plastic lookalikes.
  • Lab-verified identity. Batches are tested at an accredited lab.
  • Your own proof. Scan the QR on your certificate and read the report yourself, see how it works.
  • 7-day returns if it isn't what we said it is.

How to wear and care

Set an intention

Many wearers pause for a moment when they first put it on and decide what it will remind them of.

Wear it daily

On the wrist or around the neck. Remove it for bathing, swimming, workouts and sleep.

Keep it clean

Wipe with a soft dry cloth, keep away from perfume and chemicals, and store in the pouch.

Questions

Frequently asked

How do I know it's genuine?

Every piece ships with a certificate carrying a QR code. Scan it and the lab report opens, so you can check the material yourself instead of taking our word for it.

Will it bring luck, health or wealth?

We don't claim that it will. The meanings above come from tradition, and research has not shown effects beyond placebo. Many people wear these pieces as a reminder of an intention, and that is how we present them.

Can I wear it every day?

Yes. Take it off for bathing, swimming and workouts, keep it away from perfume, and store it in its pouch. That keeps the threads and the finish in good shape.

What if it doesn't suit me?

Return unworn pieces within 7 days in the original packaging with the certificate. Cash on delivery is available across India.
